Don't Feel Guilty If You Don't Feel Grateful

When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.

Are You Having a Hard Time Feeling "Grateful" as the Thanksgiving Holiday Approaches?

Are you finding it's not so easy to feel grateful as the Thanksgiving Holiday approaches?

We get many subtle and not so subtle messages from our society that this is the season to be "happy" and "jolly" but for many, it is not how they are feeling. The holiday season can bring on different thoughts and feelings ranging from; can I stand to be in the same room as some of my family members for a long period of time to; can I get through seeing the sibling or parent I am still upset with?

It can be easy to feel overcome by anxious thoughts which can cause you to feel guilty because you are not "over it by now." There is a lot of pressure in our society to skip over the events that hurt us and bury our feelings so others don't feel uncomfortable.

The message we get from the advertisements of people enjoying themselves during Thanksgiving is that we are supposed to feel grateful regardless of how we truly feel.

Family can be a major factor during this time of year that can bring on stress and anxiety. You often feel that you must be grateful for your family because there are others out there that don't have family to visit during this time of year. Visiting family can be similar to walking in to a time capsule every year.

You may be a year older and your nieces and nephews might be a bit taller, yet the same feelings from the past surface once again and you may end up feeling anxious and in pain due to issues from the past that are still unresolved and alive and well inside of you.

As much as you would like to be able to have a nice visit with family this time of year, painful memories and triggers can make it difficult to feel grateful.

I can help you become neutral toward those individuals or groups who trigger you and replace pain with profound inner peace, no matter what happened that hurt you.

It will become easy to feel grateful after I clear your triggers for good.

Here are a few tips you can try to help you relax in the meantime. They will be easier to implement after your triggers are cleared using the Pechet Healing Technique:

  • Meditate and Breath Deeply

It's simple. Sit up straight with both feet on the floor. Close your eyes. Focus your attention on reciting -- out loud or silently -- a positive mantra such as "I AM Peace" or "I Am Lovable." Place one hand on your belly to sync the mantra with your breaths. Let any distracting thoughts that come in float by like clouds in the sky.

Take a 5-minute break and focus on your breathing. Slowly inhale through your nose, feeling the breath start in your abdomen and work its way to the top of your head. Reverse the process as you exhale through your mouth.

  • Be Present and Reach Out

Notice how the air feels on your face when you're walking and how your feet feel hitting the ground while you walk around the block. Enjoy the texture and taste of each bite of food you are eating at lunch. When you spend time in the moment and focus on your senses, you should start to feel less tense about the situation at hand.

Talk to others -- preferably face to face, or at least on the phone. Share how you are feeling with them and have them do the same with you. Share about the upcoming events you have planned and get another perspective while sharing.

These suggestions can help you feel more at peaceful, balanced and centered and more ready to face the Thanksgiving Holiday with your relatives.

After you try these suggestions, if you are still feeling anxious or triggered when you think about seeing certain people from your past, call me... you are not alone. It will be a lot

easier to feel at peace after I have cleared the triggers that keep getting activated for you. The ability to be genuinely neutral from the aunt, sister, father... who used to

trigger you is truly liberating! This is what the Pechet Healing Technique does... from any distance

Here is what clients have to say:

"Ellie worked with me and when my session ended, I felt 100% lighter,  happier  and much more clear about the family drama than when we started our session. I felt healed of the emotional pain that had me feeling bound to that situation. The situation hadn't changed but I sure had! It felt like nothing short of a miracle."

~ Jayne Billings, Co-owner, Chiron Promotions Whole Body & Spirit Expos

"Just want to say thanks again , there is a part of me that feels older and closer to the age the I am in years and not a young juvenile. Thank you so much for the sessions. I am amazed at how effective you are long distance.

We are accomplishing a lot! "

~ PJ, New Jersey

"Ellie, I am thankful for your clearing work and how it has helped me in my life….it has led to forgiveness, peace and more love . You helped me clarify my issue and release my pain ….freeing me to forgive and truly putting my mind at ease.  Thank you for your beautiful gift and loving spirit."
